Ayobami Odubanjo, professionally known as BojaOfficial, had always been passionate about music. He started playing the drums at the age of 13 in a small church in his hometown of Lagos, Nigeria. As he grew older, he realized that his love for music was more than just a hobby, it was his calling.
After completing his education, Boja returned to Lagos and decided to pursue his passion for music full time. He honed his skills as a drummer and soon became a professional touring drummer, playing for large churches and bands. It wasn’t long before he caught the attention of the Bandhitz, a popular Nigerian band, and became an active member for about 3 years.
Boja’s love for music only grew stronger, and he soon realized that he wanted to do more than just play drums. He wanted to produce and create his own music. His experience playing drums for various bands and churches had given him a good understanding of how to direct and arrange music and its elements. So he decided to take the next step and become a professional producer.
In 2019, Boja reconnected with his childhood friend, Abe Soul, who had become a successful producer. They had a long conversation about Boja’s career and his concerns with his music. Abe Soul gave him professional and personal advice and guided him on what he needed to do to become a successful producer. They set up Boja’s studio and started working on the technical parts of producing together. Abe Soul guided Boja on what he needed to do to become a standard in his beats and production. Boja fine-tuned his craft until he became the professional producer he is today.
Boja has now joined forces with Abe Soul and his partners at Soul Vibes LLC. They are working together to produce Afro classics that will take the world by storm. Boja’s first single, “Ayoba,” is coming soon, and fans can’t wait to hear what this talented musician and producer has in store for them.
Boja’s journey from a young drummer in a small church to a professional touring drummer and now a successful producer and artist is a testament to the power of following your passion. He has worked hard to get where he is today, and his dedication to his craft is an inspiration to aspiring musicians and producers everywhere.
